La estrella del rap dominicana nominada al Latin Grammy®, J Noa, lanza hoy su esperado álbum debut Mátense Por la Corona a través de Sony Music CAC. Mátense Por la Corona es una obra maestra que refleja el arduo trabajo y dedicación de J Noa durante un extenso proceso creativo. “El álbum para mí representa muchísimas cosas bonitas, es mi primer álbum y siento que ha valido la pena todo el trabajo que he hecho durante estos años. Representa el cierre de un ciclo y la apertura de otro muy importante como el que acabo de cerrar”, comparte la rapera.
El proyecto, el cual mayormente fue producido por el galardonado productor Trooko (Bad Bunny, Residente), y también cuenta con la producción de Faster (Boza, Lunay) y RIKE Music (Sech, Ozuna). El álbum está conformado por 10 canciones que forman parte de este proyecto, de las cuales 7 son inéditas y promete marcar un hito en su carrera musical demostrando su crecimiento tanto como escritora y rapera. “En un mes de campamentos hicimos 22 canciones y luego seleccionamos varias canciones por productor y así sacamos las 10 canciones que forman parte de este proyecto”, explica J Noa.
El focus track, “Mátense Por la Corona”, viene acompañado de un impactante video en blanco y negro dirigido por Lennyn Salinas y grabado en Santo Domingo. Se puede observar a numerosas personas compitiendo ferozmente por ponerse la corona, mientras J Noa entrega sus potentes rimas. Con una energía inigualable, la artista declara contundentemente en sus letras: “La dueña de la piñata, no pelea por caramelos” reflejando un mensaje de autenticidad y autosuficiencia que resuena a lo largo del video.
J Noa ha sido destacada en las listas de Complex de 24 Raperos a Seguir en 2024, Billboard de 15 Artistas Latinos y Españoles a Seguir en 2024, Rolling Stone de 19 Artistas Latinos por los que Apostamos en 2024 y Rolling Stone en Español de Los Artistas que Definirár el Sonido Hispano en 2024. Este año recibió su primera nominación al Premio Lo Nuestro de Univision bajo la categoría Artista Revelación Femenina, y a un Premios HEAT bajo la categoría Promesa Musical. Su talento fue reconocido en su debut en COLORS y en Genius Open Mic. Además, fue seleccionada en la lista de Rolling Stone de Future of Music 25 y se presentó la semana pasada en el evento de The Future 25 en la Ciudad de México. J Noa acaba de concluir su gira debut por Europa con Rawayana y abrió para Juan Luis Guerra, Residente y Juanes en el Capitalia Fest en RD.
