At Escribe Germador [@germador_], we feel proud, blissful and grateful with each guest, (actually we ring them friend of our platform and thou our readers, our inspiration). We’ve travelled to New York (United States), where we had the honour of speaking with one of the most important models and speakers about fashion, artists, influencers, actress and writers from Israel, with you Tziporah Salamon.

✅ G.M. Thank you very much Mrs. Salamon for accepting this interview! For us as media it’s a pleasure to have on our platform. Tell us a little about you, who’s Tziporah Salamon?

✅ T.S. It is a pleasure to be with you Germán, thank you for your invitation!

Of course, the way I answer this question today’s different than the way I’d have answered the question yesterday and different than how I’ll answer the question tomorrow.

There are a few givens: I’m an author, stylist, performer, professor, actress, model and lover of art, fashion, film and travel.

✅ G.M. You’re too young to have so many professions.

✅ T.S. (Laughter) You’re so kind!

✅ G.M. (Laughter), it’s an honour ma’am!

You were born in Israel; How do you get to the United States?

✅ T.S. So, I was 9 years old, when we moved from Israel to New York by ship.

✅ G.M. Awesome! What an incredible adventured!

Hmmm… why your passion for fashion?

✅ T.S. I love clothes, good clothes. I was lucky enough to be born to parents who both sewed for a living: my father was a master tailor and my mum was a gifted dressmaker, they made all my clothes. I was the best dressed girl in town from day one.

✅ G.M. I am very excited with this interview! You’re a great book of nice stories.

So, how do you decide to give lectures about fashion?

✅ T.S. Thanks Germán!

That happened organically. When I was 18 years old, I met a woman named Lucy Porges, who had been Pauline Trigere’s right-hand designer. Lucy was then teaching at Parson’s School of Design and invited me to come teach her class.

And that was the birth of The Art of Dressing Masterclass!

✅ G.M. I’m really blissful because thou gave us this interview!

Hmmm… does thy family support you in this dream?

✅ T.S. Unfortunately, my parents died before they saw me do this.

✅ G.M. Pardon me, I didn’t know this news, but I know that they are guiding you.

✅ T.S. No problem! Thanks so much dear!

✅ G.M. Thanks madame!

So, you are a designer, actress, raconteur, writer, author, model; how do you deal with all those roles and still have a social life?

✅ T.S. It’s all a matter of balance. When I need to rest and take time out, I do. I’ve days when I just stay at home and regroup, and then days when it’s go, go, go!

✅ G.M. Nice!

Ah! Do you know Colombia?

✅ T.S. No, but I’d love to, I hear it’s a quite beautiful!

✅ G.M. Yes ma’am! Colombia is stunning! We’ll be waiting for you with much love.

So, what has been the most interesting testimony that you’ve known dictating thy lectures?

✅ T.S. Thanks so much!

Answering your question, I received from a recent student: I just want to let you know that everything you said at SCADshow today was a huge courage and inspiration to me. I’ve been through a hard time recently, your amazing show and talk really lifted me up.

✅ G.M. Congratulations! It sounds interesting! I would like to witness a conference of yours.

So, what are your fashion influences?

✅ T.S. Hmmm… without a doubt they are: Matisse, Persian miniatures, silent films, Russian constructivism and of course Charlie Chaplin.

✅ G.M. You’re a very cultured woman.

Madame, what do your family, friends, neighbours, acquaintances tell you about being a fashion icon?

✅ T.S. It was inevitable given my history and heritage.

✅ G.M. Stunning!

And, how do you see fashion in this time?

✅ T.S. Confusing with a case of designers playing musical chairs, going from house to house.

✅ G.M. Oh my Goodness! You’re nice!

✅ T.S. Thanks you!

✅ G.M. And to finish this conversation, what has been the experience of working with one of the most acclaimed photographers such as Ari Seth Cohen?

✅ T.S. It was a pleasure working with Ari and I’ll always be grateful to him for including me in his books and films.

However, it’s was Bill Cunningham who first put me on the map, and it’s Bill who’ll always have my heart.

✅ G.M. Oh incredible!

Thanks, you very much Mrs. Salamon for giving us this interview, I loved it, I hope you liked it too. We’re waiting for you in Colombia, bless you!

✅ T.S. Thanks you! Greetings to Dora, to you and all your readers!

✅ G.M. Thanks!
